A couple of week ago I was fortunate enough to attend The All Things Organic Trade Show in Chicago. I’d have to say that my absolute favorite take home item was a jar of Tuscan Traditions Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce, which is of course, organic. It has a touch of sweetness that gives it such a different flavor from others. It is great on pasta and for dipping bread.
Unfortunately it isn’t widely available in Chicago (just at TJ Maxx – odd yes, but who cares – it’s amazing!!!) but I did just notice that it is available for purchase on their website…shipping a 4 pack of sauces to Chicago makes it $9 a jar so I think I’ll check out TJ Maxx first but if I can’t locate it I’ll be splurging and ordering – it really is worth it!
Located in Liverpool, New York, the Giovanni Food Co., Inc. has been making pasta sauces since 1934, when the DeMent Family first opened their Italian-style restaurant, and customers would ask to take the sauces home. It’s a tradition that has grown in popularity throughout our 70 year history and one that reaches a broad consumer base. Today you can find their sauces on grocery store and specialty store shelves across the U.S. and abroad.
